When I was unexpectedly laid off earlier this year, I decided to start a secondhand clothing resell business to give me a creative outlet that could also distract me from weeping all day.
I also started digitizing some VHS tapes that have been in my family for 30+ years.
I loved all of the old commercials and began uploading them to TikTok.
As the accounts quickly gained traction and followers, I realized it would be a great way to advertise my clothing accounts by linking them to the profiles.

I was looking for some more creative opportunity in my role at a very small startup, so I pitched the idea to do a video series highlighting real testimonials from real members of our contracted driver community.
Our CEO loved the idea and let me take full ownership of getting it done.
